The third annual San Francisco Shag Jam 2009 will take place Friday, October 16, Saturday, October 17, and Sunday, October 18. This event is put on by Blue Jean Productions and Old Timey Artists. It has 1930s and 1940s music and dance. There will be dance workshops, contests with shag, and much more. The bands at this event include JP and the Rhythm Chasers and the Royal Society Jazz Orchestra. The event is $99 for workshops and dances and after September 15, 2009 the price goes up to $125. The event is at the Verdi club at 2424 Mariposa St in San Francisco, California. Tickets can be purchased at shagJam.com or mobstersball.com.
